That`s my opinion. Unless you`ve lived under a rock for the past year (my apologies if you really did) you must have noticed that the candidate for the Democratic party is very popular in Europe....let`s NOT mention his name, You know very well who I am talking about. And on top of that: we`ve already mentioned his name several times on our website.

But every medal has two sides. So does this one in the form of the Republican presidential candidate John McCain. McCain comes from a military family, He served as a naval aviator during the Vietnam war and spent several years in what is now known as the infamous 'Hanoi Hilton' as a prisoner of war. McCain is known as a man with conservative values but he isn`t affraid to value his own opinions and standpoints over those of his party. He once stated that people come up to him on a daily basis (during an early stage of his campaign.) All these individuals told him something that came down to: 'I don`t agree with what you say but I do have a lot of respect for you,'

Now: Europeans always seem to identify more with the Democratic candidate and during the upcoming elections this seems to be no different. Should we - as Europeans and perhaps the rest of the world - really do this? Do we focus to much on the Democratic candidate? Sure: Democrats seem to be a little bit more leftwing, and this political orientation has a large history in Europe, so that could explain why their side is often chosen on our continent. But still the question remains: is John McCain the better alternative?

Everyone is getting carried away by the Obama`s charisma and campaign. FOCUS! I really think we should stop, look and listen to see what Sen. McCain has to say. You don`t have to agree with it..... All I`m saying is: check out all the available options before choosing.

A campaign add: Sen. McCain and his mother.
