I don't think it is a matter of inherent aggression--look at the history of your country: you dominated the world for centuries with military might! It is just a matter of being in the right circumstances at the right time. And I don't for a second believe that the average bloke in London is any more peaceful than the average person in New York City.
My point is simply that America is not going to be able to be as aggressive as it wants to be.

I am that guy, and what point are you saying I missed? My Question Still Remains, which you didn't address. DO you think it will help America wake up? Especially after the Mumbai attacks. Which everyone is saying is India's 9-1-1 "event"

Will this help America wake up? Unlikely. It seems America is going in the direction of Europe politically. Of course, we'll always be more interventionist and generally ass-kicking, but chances are that we are not going to take any strong stance in terms of eradicating Islam.

I think you and that young lady misrepresend Ayaan´s views and opinions, as I understand ayaan, she is not too conserned about hurting the feelings of the "moderates" she blames them fore not speaking out against the brutal and opressing sides of islam. I think the militant Muslims have hijacked Islam AND the radical Christians have hijacked Christianity.
The way I see it, the majority of people in the world are moderate people who agree or disagree with the rest of the World and can live with that. It's the small percentage of outspoken people, at the extremes, that literally ruin it for everybody. They spread their messages of intolerance and soon the moderates start to confuse radicals with moderates.
Ask many people in predominately Muslim countries and they'll likely confuse "regular Americans" with the "W"ackos that have been running the country for the last eight years. :-)
