wow you fuckin retards blacks made blues which in turn help make rock n roll which of the first many rock n roll players were in fact black among many other races, and saying one music is for one race is the dumbest shit that that has ever had to come into my mind! i love black rockers! i also love to hear a black mans vocie, so that idiot that was talking about music which he knows nothing about is WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! music is for humans no matter the color or race!

Yo!

'Categorizing' is the word. Maybe it's the way we've been taught to understand things better. To 'recognize' as opposed to 'knowing' something. But philosophy is a boring subject... and that's what this argument has come to.
We can't show off our wittiness when were talking about music, chances are we don't know what were talking about.
Personally...i despise izms and schizms, and i know one good thing about 'music' when it hits you feel no pain.
And now when i think of it ...ITS STUPID 'issue' TO DEBATE ABOUT!!!!!

One love!

I guess because no one gives Blacks credit for shit. (Unless it's for something negative , bad, evil, demeaning, etc) . No one is saying only one group of ppl have rights to enjoy, or create a certain type of music. But give credit where credit is due. I'm so sick of hearing about all the negative shit that Blacks do. As if we had nothing to contribute to the world, society, or "civilization".

What the hell @BigChris? Africans used drums and various home made instruments before they were even turned into slaves. Stop giving White people so much credit. Everyone in the world has had something to contribute to the global community. No one holds all credit for everything.

Wait a minute...Beyonce and Britney?... Please don't go there.

We can talk about Alicia keys though. Like which side do you think she got her musical genes from, black or white?....Don't answer that.

black people made jazz and blues, and paranoid a rock song, was inspired from jazz. im neither black nor white, but the comments made below show ur mentality. but i dont consider r&b as music to be honest its a pile of crap, what black people did ages ago was music, robert johnson ,blind willie johnson, bb king just to name a few....Jimmy hendrix made THE BLOODY rock. by using distortions.

bullshit blacks had their own culture going on in art and music and life the same as british and americans did africa deeply affected art and music during the slave trade sum of the greatest artists moved away from europe and america because how much they envied theese other countries however music shouldnt just be for a certain race thats just stupid and would never happen

So can i or can i not introduce Barrack Obama angle into this arguement, (Can our brains handle it)?
Is it normal to be dissoriented soon after an innoguration ceremony?
That whole race issue is just very complicated right now, Isn't it?
When is the next video going to be posted so we can pretend we understand something?
Jamie Lidell?

but that would mean that Snoop Dogg should stop his rock/country career as well, and I don't agree with that. I think everybody can make soulful music, Jamie Lidell for example is a very soulful white guy, I think

Okay idriss198

I hence forth declare thee... officially dumb! You don't make any sense at all.
What does the mans wardrobe and the English language have anything to do with the matter at hand or the topic in discussion?
Are you trying to be funny with that racist Tarzan/ west African remark? You must be really insecure and/or lonely.
I suggest you find a hobby or something. Try reading actual literature (books), jogging, listening to jazz music etc.

Ps. We only speak in English for convenience and communication purposes. 'We' Africans are bi-lingual, meaning we speak many languages (in case you don't understand what the term means). And Tarzan, the fictional character in an outdated crap movie, had no clothes: He was a white man raised by monkeys so he was a monkey.

Man! The internet has the weirdest people for real.

Re: Kenya

Music is a universal language. We all love good music whether from a black or white musician. And all cultures have their art and forms of expression. Judging or criticizing other peoples cultures just because their different from our own only shows ignorance and/or arrogance.

Peace!
