One way or another. Except one. From the hairdresser in Miami.

Teheran prepares to celebrate 30 years of revolution.
I posted a movie of the famous wall of the former US Embassy, now home of the hardline religious police Sepah. You see them standing with their VW vans, and putting young girls in their cars who are not properly dressed. You will be in jail for ±24 hours, depending on the wealth of your family
Every day more journalists are coming in to inform you all about the situation here. Complaints in the h... -

Eating with an Iranian composer in the Blue Duck, a wonderful restaurant in a shopping mall. For a moment I had the feeling I was walking in Beijing in the mall on 77th street. Almost the same shops.
Anyway the composer tells me that he always tells a joke when asked about the nature of Iranian people:A boy koms home crying. His father asks hm what is the matter?
My teacher gave me a bad grade in school.
Why, the father asks.
because he asked " how much is... -

Quit an exciting evening we had. Neil and I were invited to go to the Tehran Symphonic Orchestra to listen to a symphony specially written for the celebration of 30 years Islamic revolution.(feb 11 2009)
When we arrived there was a lot of police and we had to leave our bags in a bus in front of the theatre, an odd place to leave your bag with camera, money and telephones in it since you could easily drive away with all the odies….
Than we were searched on our bodies by the entran... -

30 jan. Tehran,Some thoughts about the chador

Some people look pretty in it, some do not, some look like Sophia Loren in the 50;s some like Amy Winehouse in 2007.
After a few days wearing it I notice how it works. I want to stay in my hotelroom, I wanna stay inside, because I feel myself than and more free because I do not have to wear it.
So it helps keeping women inside.
It is veru hot and unhandy. The Chador eben more because you can not use your hands anymore.A chador from above, in the wind or in the snow...

Second day. I am already in the same condition as what is commenly understood about Iran." Everything is possible as long as you do not speak about it, or show it on your camera".
I went o the thaeter, nice play about the sufi molla Nasrudin. People are actually fighting to get into the theaters here. I also had an anger attack, but managed to get in thanx to Neil, who is helping me out here. Than had a houseparty and met all these great people. Fantastic stories and the best... -

So I am here, or there. Elsewhere starts here.....
Iran. I am here 12 hours now, and changed hotels already.
I am here because o the Fajr festival: the big theater and filmfestival.
In a few hours I will start watching the shows.
Meeting the beloved opposite. Wanting to know whether the axis of evil
really exist or if it is a propaganda thing.
Already my hejab is making me crazy, not outside: it is cold. But it feels so hot, unhandy and uncomfartable inside... -

12/1 Morning.
I won?t talk about the war and the Israeli oppression and the systematic international ignorance against Palestinians beside the fake face for the European political system and the non stop support to Israel mentally and financially. Israel believes that it is a natural normal extension for Europe. Europe has been always trying to be a role model for the world and many European nations have led revolutions demanding justice and freedom. European nations must stand all in...
