>Knowing your 'Identity' by discussion presupposes quite some self

knowledge and I think that 'action' is more important to get to know youor
identity. I think there are also quite some people who can't express
themselves properly verbally but know quite well about their identity. The problem with discussion is that it's hard to get further beyond some point...plus the fact is that the discussion Iis only between
some people with a similar (social and educational) background. I think
you have a bigger chance to get to know your identity by being confronted
with 'really different people'

Re: Does Identity exist and does it matter?

without Identity there is no "me"
while i think debating the existence of identity is perhaps a metafysicle exercise, the practical question is why identity is dependant on country of origing, religion...

kakanowitz

I don't know whether discussing identity is the right way to get a grip on it...
