    America as an example

    Season1 - part1

In the first of a multipart series, we are introduced to a group of Muslim and Christian teenagers at a pre-vocational school in Amsterdam. They have all been chosen for a debate club, which forms the basis of this series.
The series revolves around their perceptions and attitudes towards one of the most liberal societies in the world on the one hand, and their culture of origin on the other. They begin the series by discussing why and whether America is seen as an example for the rest of the world.
The series also begins to introduce the kids and their families one by one. We begin to understand their life circumstances, why they may think the way they do, and whether they might encounter problems with visas and permits to travel to America.

    The other Olympics in China

Ever wondered if the Olympics in China (in 2008) could have looked differently? The Xijing Men - three artists from various Asian countries - probably did when they came up with their exhinition: Xijing. It's about a city also named Xijing where the Olympic Games are held. Only thing is that these Olympics are, welll....different. Contains footage from the exhibition by the way.

    'Generation We'

"Millennials are the largest generation in American history. Born between 1978 and 2000, WE are 95 million strong, compared to the 78 million Baby Boomers. WE are politically, socially, and philosophically independent, and are spearheading a period of sweeping change in America and around the world. The new book, Generation We, explains the emerging power of our Millennial Generation, and shows how WE (and older people who think the way WE do) are poised to change our nation and our world for the better."
